KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, Malaysia now has 26 new EV chargers, however, this time it is not an automobile company but a coffee shop chain responsible for the installation of the charging stations.

    Ruslin Tamsir, Electromobility’s Senior Vice President said, “We are delighted to support Starbuck’s ambition of innovating with more responsible stores by providing chargEV solutions to their outlets, and we are jointly committed to rolling out even more charge points over the next few years. The chargEV team warmly welcomes other like-minded businesses to engage with us to find out about our integrated EV solutions and how they, too, can participate in Malaysia’s EV transition.”

    Starbucks EV charging station promotion

    • The Starbucks chargers are part of a 400-point charging network provided by chargEV on the chargeEV app
    • Customers with a chargEV membership charging their EVs at one of Starbucks stores will enjoy up to 50 percent discount on their first Grande Handcrafted Beverage purchase in a single receipt.
    • All one has to do is flash their chargEV membership ID at the counter
    • Beginning from November 1st, 2022, the said promotion is valid for 12 months and is subject to terms and conditions
