MG 07 first images revealed - BEV and PHEV options, LiDAR tech confirmed
KUALA LUMPUR: MG is gearing up to introduce its new fastback sedan in China, named MG 07, rivalling the likes of the BYD Seal and Tesla Model 3. Ahead of the official launch, the automaker has revealed the first official images of its upcoming electrified model.

- The MG 07 underpins SAIC‘s NEV platform and will be offered in both electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain options in China.
- With a fastback silhouette, the vehicle features a low-slung, wide-body stance. Upfront, there is an active intake grille combined with C-shaped headlights and an integrated clamshell hood.

- The sloping roofline of the electrified sedan integrates with a continuous light strip at the rear.

- Also, it will be the first MG model to get the Momenta R7 “Enhanced World Model” solution, offering Urban Navigate feature on Autopilot along with a “seamless parking-space-to-parking-space driving experience.”
- The upcoming electrified vehicle is likely to get a large infotainment unit running on a system developed in partnership with Oppo.

As for the MG 07’s chances of making its Malaysian debut, nothing can be confirmed at this time, as it is still unclear whether it will be exported outside China or not.
