Maserati launches revised Ghibli in Malaysia, prices start at RM 618,800

KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Italia, the authorized partner of Maserati in Malaysia, has announced the commencement of sales for the revised Maserati Ghibli in the South East Asian country. The new Maserati Ghibli is now available in six variants – Ghibli Standard (RM 618,800), Ghibli Standard Gransport and GranLusso (RM 668,800), and Ghibli S (RM 718,800), Ghibli S Gransport and GranLusso (RM 768,800).

The changes on the revised-for-2019 Maserati Ghibli are purely visual and equipment add-ons managed to make this sedan fresher than before. The new Ghibli offers an all-new Pieno Fiore leather upholstery option, which is claimed to be one of the most premium upholstery options in the business. To add in even more special feel on the inside, the Maserati Ghibli also comes with carbon fibre twill and Rovere Veneer wood trim. Other visual tweaks on the outside include 20-inch Teseo alloy wheels, adaptive matrix LED headlights, revised Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) infotainment system with new display graphics and improved controls for AC, and a new paint option of Blu Nobile, which are offered as standard across the entire range.

And that’s not all – Maserati Malaysia has also announced the Nerissimo edition, in which the all-black theme is well executed. The Nerissimo edition is finished in glossy black paint scheme, with dark highlights at places, including headlights and the options of 20-inch Urano or 21-inch Titano alloy wheels. The additional equipment which one will be getting in Nerssimo edition includes heated front and rear sports seats as standard, tinted windows and electric rear sunshade.

However, Maserati chose to play safe by not tweaking or making any changes to the 3.0-litre twin turbo V6 petrol engine and the ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox for the entire range of the Ghibli. In the Standard versions, the engine pumps out 350 PS of maximum power at 5,500 rpm and 500 Nm of maximum torque at 4,500 rpm. On the other hand, the S versions add few more zest, with maximum power output rated at 430 PS at 5,750 rpm and maximum torque at 580 Nm from 2,250 to 4,000 rpm.
