Mazda Motors Hits The Milestone of Producing 3 Million New-Gen Models Since 2011
Kuala Lumpur/Hiroshima: Mazda Motor Corporation announced that the company has reached the milestone of producing 3 million Mazda units, approximately around 3,050,000 as of the end of November 2015. This huge milestone arrived approximately four years after Mazda Motors started the production of CX-5 at their Hiroshima Plant in November 2011. Mazda global production announced that the 3 Million units sold were all featuring Mazda's next-generation technology SkyActiv Technology and Kodo-Soul of Motion design, these were the all-new Mazda CX-5, 3rd-generation model of Mazda6, the 3rd-generation Mazda3 (Axela), Mazda CX-3, 4th-generation Mazda2 (Demio) and the Mazda MX-5 (Roadster).
Mazda announced that these vehicles were majorly produced in their Hiroshima and Hofu plant located in Japan. Apart from Japan, the vehicles were also manufactured in Thailand, China and Mexico and were assembled in Russia, Vietnam and Malaysia as well.
Mazda is quite a hit brand in Malaysia as well, the company recently launched their much-anticipated vehicle Mazda CX-3, and has already sold more than 1000 units of it. Mazda Malaysia will currently import the cars from Japan but considering the demand, Mazda may soon start producing CX-3 in Malaysia plant as well. This shows the popularity of this brand across the globe and the major reason of reaching 3 Million unit sales since 2011.
Mazda’s President and CEO, Masamichi Kogai said, “The entire Mazda Group is united by a single-minded desire to deliver our customers driving pleasure. That’s why we take on so many challenges.”
According to Kogai all the efforts made by the Mazda team paid off by achieving this huge target. He also reported that the company could not achieve this milestone without the help of their new-generation models featuring latest SKYACTIV technologies.
Another reason of achieving this target was critical acclaim received by this Japanese Brand across the globe. Various models produced by Mazda racked up over 200 awards worldwide. The CX-5, Demio and Roadster were awarded the Car of the Year title in Japan this year whereas the Atenza grabbed the title of RJC Car of the Year. Apart from these Mazda2, MX-5 and CX-3 also won Red Dot Awards and the most influential design award.
Apart from the mutated design and themes the Japanese manufacturer is using in it's cars, the company is also striving to proffer its customers the sense of satisfaction through the use of the i-ACTIVSENSE advanced safety technologies. Mazda offers a unique Mazda Connect (MZD Connect) that displays all the relevant infotainment and entertainment ergonomically sitting behind the wheel.
All this sums up the success of Mazda selling 3 million units in just four years. We wish well for Mazda Malaysia to come out with same success here too.
