Mercedes-Benz launches GLC 300 4Matic Coupe facelift in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz has officially launched facelifted C253 GLC Coupe in Malaysia, which will be offered in a sole GLC 300 AMG Line trim. The on-the-road pricing of GLC Coupe starts at RM419,888, excluding the insurance charges and comes with four-year/unlimited mileage warranty.

Talking about the styling updates, it now gets a more angular grille along with trapezoidal-shaped headlamps. Moving to the rear, you can find GLE-inspired taillamps along with ring-shaped graphics inside them.

The AMG Line features A-wing-style front bumper and a single-louvre diamond grille, while the rear cover flaunts a more striking diffuser element squeezed between the dual exhausts setup. The GLC Coupe specs also feature Multibeam LED system, Night Package, 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels with five-twin-spoke, and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus. However, it doesn't get a panoramic sunroof, unlike the one found in X253 Mercedes-Benz GLC.

Moving to the powertrain, it comes equipped with an M264 2.0 litres four-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor capable of churning out a maximum power of 258 PS (254 hp) and a peak torque of 370 Nm. The engine is mated to a nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission, and the power is sent to the wheels via a 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.

The Coupe is capable of hitting the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 6.3 seconds and achieving a top speed of 240 km/h. The suspension duties are handled by a passive sports suspension setup rather than an Agility Control suspension.

Opening the doors, the GLC 300 features AMG Line interior, paddle shifters, Nappa leather AMG steering wheel, triple-zone Thermotronic climate control, ambient lighting, illuminated door sills, electrically-adjustable front seats, rear door sunshades, a new Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system and AMG floor mats.

The safety features offered by this vehicle are blind spot assist, active brake assist, active lane-keeping assist, active parking assist with Parktronic, cruise control, a 360-degree view camera, Pre-Safe, Keyless-Go, a tyre pressure monitoring system and hands-free access.
