KUALA LUMPUR: BYD has expanded its footprint in Malaysia with the launch of two new showrooms in Penang and Johor Bahru. Designed to offer customers an elevated level of experience, the new BYD stores are strategically integrated directly into shopping malls, viz. Gurney Plaza in Penang and Mid Valley Southkey in Johor.

The integrated management of BYD parts distribution ensures sufficient supply of spare parts for its vehicles throughout the nation.

    Upon launching the new mall showrooms, Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors Retail and Distribution – Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macau, said, “The response to BYD in the Malaysian market has been overwhelmingly positive, clearly demonstrating growing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the country. We are pleased to build up our momentum with this expansion drive to continue serving increasing EV demand amongst consumers across Malaysia with BYD’s innovative vehicles.”

    Apart from these newly launched showrooms, BYD Sime Darby Beyond Auto’s showrooms are located within the Klang Valley, including the flagship showroom in Ara Damansara.
