Honda launches new WR-V in Malaysia; here’s what’s all new

KUALA LUMPUR: After opening order bookings for the new City last month, Honda has now introduced the new WR-V in Malaysia. The upgraded SUV benefits from enhanced exterior and interior features, as well as a new Blazing Red Pearl colour option. 

2026 Honda WR-V: Variants and price

The new Honda WR-V line has been reduced to three variants -E, V, and RS, which means the earlier S trim has now been discontinued. The prices are as follows -

2026 Honda WR-V: What’s new?

The new WR-V brings together sporty design, practical versatility and advanced technology as the entry-level SUV in the brand’s local SUV lineup. Key upgrades include -

• The WR-V RS variant gets a new black front grille and a new dual-tone Blazing Red Pearl colour option with a contrasting roof, creating a distinctive, fresh look. 
• The SUV now comes with 17-inch Black alloy wheels standard across all three variants, enhancing its sporty road presence.

• Inside, the compact Japanese SUV now features a larger 10-inch infotainment system, replacing the 7-inch unit on the V and RS variants, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard.
• Adding to the sophisticated look is a new dashboard design finished with Dark Steel accents and upgraded Leather Seats with red stitching.
• The RS trim exclusively gets new red ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger, and a 360-degree view camera.

2026 Honda WR-V: What remains unchanged?

The upgraded WR-V continues to feature the same compact proportions and familiar design. Under the hood lies the same 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine, producing a maximum power output of 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a responsive Continuously Variable Transmission, promising seamless power delivery with excellent fuel efficiency.

The SUV continues to offer Honda Sensing driver-assist technology as a standard safety feature across all variants, alongside the RS-exclusive Honda CONNECT smart telematics system.
