BYD Mansion Macalister opens in Penang; promises premium customer experience

KUALA LUMPUR: BYD Malaysia and Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, have opened the all-new BYD Mansion Macalister in George Town, Penang. The newly opened facility is a restored heritage property that has been transformed into a flagship showroom.

The store opening ceremony was graced by the presence of YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang, and YB H’ng Mooi Lye, Penang State Executive Councillor for Local Government and Town & Country Planning.

• More than just a showroom, this restored landmark features dedicated consultation lounges, integrated digital touchpoints, and personalised customer spaces, enabling visitors to explore the automaker’s complete EV range in a premium environment.
• Further enhancing EV ownership convenience is a well-equipped service centre and charging hub available at BYD Mansion, Macalister.

With a nationwide network of over 43 showrooms and more than 25 dedicated aftersales centres, BYD Malaysia and Sime Motors continue to enhance the EV ownership experience for Malaysian customers. By investing in local talent and service excellence, both parties also ensure that owners enjoy a seamless, confident ownership experience in every key region.

The company organises training programmes for technicians, sales advisors, and after-sales professionals, so that Malaysian EV owners can enjoy globally certified EV expertise and high-quality support close to home.

Celebrates 5,000th BYD owner in the northern region

During the showroom launch event, BYD Malaysia also celebrated the 5,000th EV owner in the northern region. This milestone reflects Malaysia's growing confidence in electric mobility beyond the Klang Valley.

Organises media road trip from BYD Ara Damansara to BYD Mansion Macalister

In conjunction with that, BYD Sime Motors organised a 360-km media road trip from BYD Ara Damansara to BYD Mansion Macalister, demonstrating the performance, comfort and long-distance capability of a range of BYD electric vehicles. 

The journey featured multiple BYD EVs travelling through traversed highways and scenic routes with culturally immersive stops.
