Nissan X-Trail Hybrid Exhibited at 2015 Thai Motor Expo

Kuala Lumpur: Following the official launch in Thailand in the late November, the Nissan X-Trail Hybrid was recently exhibited at 2015 Thai Motor Expo. The locally assembled X-Trail Hybrid is available in three variants in the kingdom: 2.0 S 2WD Hybrid, 2.0 E 2WD Hybrid, and 2.0 V 4WD Hybrid with the price starting from 1.249 million baht (RM150,440) to 1.395 million baht (RM167,908). Visually speaking, all variants of Nissan X-Trail Hybrid feature LED project headlamps and 17-inch alloys while the 2.0 E 2WD Hybrid and 2.0 V 4WD variants get an auto on/off function besides auto wipers, front fog lamps, automatic liftgate and heated mirrors.

Nissan X-Trail Hybrid Thailand - Rear Profile

The powertrain of SUV includes a 2.0 litre MR20DD inline-four petrol engine capable of producing the maximum power of 141bho at 6,000 revs and the maximum torque of 200NM at 4,400 revs, mated to a 7-spped Xtronic CVT gearbox with a 40hp/160Nm synchronous electric motor providing additional power. Total combined power output of the hybrid system stands at 176hp. When driven on the EV mode, the X-Trail Hybrid can hit the maximum speed of up to 120km/h.

Inside, the SUV can accommodate five persons comfortably on its leather seats, which get beige finishing on the 2.0 S 2WD Hybrid and 2.0 E 2WD Hybrid variants while the range-topping 2.0 V 4WD Hybrid variant gets a black finish. The seats are the electric-powered for the driver and front-passenger across all variants. Moving to the infotainment, the range-topping 2.0 V 4WD Hybrid variant gets the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment screen while the other two get a 5-inch unit.

In terms of safety, the 2.0 E 2WD Hybrid variant gets dual airbags ( for driver and front passenger) while the other two variants feature 4 airbags (dual front and sides). The standard safety features across all variants include ABS with EBD and BA, Active Ride Control (ARC), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS), Active Engine Brake (AEB) and Active Trace Control.
