Nissan X-Trail Hybrid Arrives in Thailand: Price Starts from RM150K

Kuala Lumpur: The Nissan X-Trail Hybrid is finally launched in Thailand with prices starting from RM150,440 to RM167,908. The compact crossover SUV is available in three variants in the country: 2.0 S 2WD Hybrid, 2.0 E 2WD Hybrid and 2.0 V 4WD Hybrid. The exterior of all variants features LED projector headlamps and 17-inch alloy wheels but only the 2.0 E 2WD Hybrid and 2.0 V 4WD Hybrid variants come with auto on/off function, automatic liftgate, automatic wipers, heated mirrors, and front fog lamps.

Inside, all variants can accommodate five persons. Only the top variant (2.0 V 4WD Hybrid) gets black leather seats and remaining two ( 2.0 S 2WD Hybrid, 2.0 E 2WD Hybrid) receive beige. The electric powered seats for driver and front passenger are standard on all variants. Moving to infotainment, only the top variant features a seven-inch touchscreen system and the other two come with a five-inch unit.

All three variants of Nissan X-Trail Hybrid are powered by a 2.0L MR20DD inline four-cylinder petrol engine producing 144PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 200Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. The engine is mated with a seven-speed CVT automatic transmission (with manual mode) and is boosted by a 41PS/160Nm synchronous electric motor. On the EV mode, the crossover can hit the speed of up to 120 km/h. The combined power output of the hybrid is estimated at 179 PS. On the four-wheel drive model, the power transmission is managed by Nissan’s All-Mode 4×4-i all-wheel drive system, featuring a lock mode. Under the JC08 test, the hybrid has offered the fuel economy of 20.6 km/litre.

Safetywise, the top two variants (2.0 V 4WD Hybrid and 2.0 S 2WD Hybrid) comes with four airbags(dual front and sides), while the base variant (2.0 E 2WD Hybrid) gets only two (dual front airbags only). All three variants of X-Trail Hybrid feature Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS), ABS with EBD and BA, Active Ride Control (ARC), Active Engine Brake (AEB), Active Trace Control (ATC), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and an around view monitor (only available for the top two variants).
