Price confirmed for Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Alfa Romeo, known for its sports-oriented vehicles and auto racing heritage, made its grand comeback in Malaysia last year after a hiatus of over 10 years. The Italian automaker’s re-entry brought along two striking models - Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV, whose official pricing has now been announced.

Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio: Price

Both models are offered only in one fully imported variant from Italy, the Veloce, priced as follows -

Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio: Engine specifications 

Both of the new Alfa Romeo models are powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which kicks out a maximum power of 280 hp and a peak torque of 400 Nm. The engine is mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox transmitting power to the rear wheels in the Giulia and to all four wheels in the Stelvio. 

In terms of performance, the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio complete the century sprint in 5.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 240 kmph and 230 kmph, respectively.

Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio: Design and comfort

The Giulia Veloce is a sports sedan featuring a “Trilobo” front grille, LED Adaptive Matrix “3+3” headlights, and dark exterior detailing. The car runs on 19-inch “telephone-dial” wheels mated to red Brembo brake callipers. Built around a near 50:50 weight distribution, the sedan leans heavily on balance and chassis feel with Alfa Link suspension setup, a lightweight carbon-fibre driveshaft, and a mechanical Q2 limited-slip differential.  

Inside, we can find a minimalist dashboard layout incorporating an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster with classic-style Alfa dials. Other highlights include - a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather wrapped three spoke steering wheel, aluminium trim pieces, sports seats, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and a wireless charging pad.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Veloce, on the other hand,  is a performance SUV that boasts one of the most distinctive designs in its class thanks to its signature triangular grille and muscular proportions. It comes equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels, Alfa Link suspension, 50:50 weight distribution and lightweight materials.

The SUV features a luxurious yet driver-centric cabin, blending performance cues with everyday comfort. Key highlights are a 12.3-inch infotainment unit, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, aluminium paddle shifters, sculpted sport seats, leather upholstery, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a wireless charging pad.
