Renault Cars Malaysia to Maintain its Prices In 2016

Kuala Lumpur: Good News for the Renault fans in Malaysia, TC Euro Cars, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd has announced that they will be maintaining the Renault cars prices in Malaysia in 2016 despite the weakening ringgit.

TC Euro Cars Malaysia

The CEO of TC Euro Cars Kuan Kim Luen, the sole franchise holder for Renault cars in Malaysia announced through a press release earlier this weekend that the company will maintain its current prices across the complete board, despite the unfavourable cost environment which has badly affected the price of imported vehicles and components ultimately leading to higher production cost.

Kuan Kim Luen said, “While we are not immune to the challenges facing the automotive industry, we are happy to announce that there will be no price increase, despite the current economic environment. With forward planning, optimising operational efficiencies and cost management exercises conducted internally, we are able to manage the cost to consumers at this point.”

Renault Cars are already being sold on the pricier side in Malaysia, the major reason being the import of CBU units from other countries due to lack of production facilities in the country. Renault market share in Malaysia is currently less than 1 %, therefore fearing the loss of its customers by increasing the prices of its already highly priced cars, TC Euro cars decided to maintain the price despite losses in 2015. The revised prices includes the full lineup of Renault vehicles in Malaysia.

The all new Captur is a versatile crossover that will straightly go against the likes of Honda HR-V and Mazda CX-3 in the country. Renault Captur is a CBU from Spain and will be maintained at a retail price of RM123,000 in the country.

His childhood craving for the cars started with Hot wheels toys which led him to create pseudo cars on his own. When people loved playing outdoor sports, Sanchit was stuck to his racing video games hidden in a closet. The torque of his creative writing coupled with his passion for moving machines pushed him into Carbay's garage. Sanchit also wonders's, why is he writing this as a third person.
