Renault Clio V new design unveiled

KUALA LUMPUR: Renault has teased its fifth-generation Clio again, unveiling the exterior design of the model. It is the second time we are seeing the images of this B-segment car from Renault. We have already seen the design in the leaked images a few days ago, but this time the automaker has given out some important details as well.

The car comes with the CMF-B platform, which makes the body around 30 mm lower. Surprisingly, this results in decreasing the Renault Clio height by 8 mm. The automaker has claimed that the all-new Clio V has a length of 4,048 mm, which means it is now 14 mm longer than its predecessor. So, the vehicle has more space inside now. This results in a width of 1,798 mm, i.e., more than the previous model by 66 mm.

From the previous reveal, one can find that the all-new Clio has been given an evolutionary approach. The LED headlamps at the front get some cues from Megane IV. There are also C-shaped LED daytime running lights. The grille, which features the Renault logo, also gets a new design.

Coming to the sides, the car comes with a curvy window line along with a sloped roofline. The C-pillar is placed near the rear door handles. The wheel arches contain wind deflectors, which make the car aerodynamically efficient. The taillights are now sleeker.

The all-new Clio comes in two different trim packages - RS Line and Initiale Paris. The RS Line is the sportier version and comes with 17-inch wheels and honeycomb grille.

Inside the car, there are carbon-style inserts, sports seats, a black interior theme with red stitching, and aluminium pedals. The driver will grip a perforated leather steering wheel, which also embodies the RS logo.

The Initiale Paris package, on the other hand, gets a classy look. Surrounding the windows, there is chrome detailing. It comes with 17-inch wheels along with a shark fin antenna. The Initiale Paris trim comes with two color options inside - Black and Sand Grey.
