Dimensions and design
The Suzuki Fronx is a B-segment SUV, measuring 3,995 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, and 1,550 mm in height, and spans a wheelbase of 2,520 mm. It has a striking exterior design featuring split-like headlights, chunky front and rear lamps, faux skid plates, black body cladding, and tri-tail lamp insets with an LED connecting bar.
Interior
The upcoming Suzuki SUV boasts a dual-tone interior with matte finishing on the dashboard and gloss silver inserts.
Feature kit includes - 9-inch infotainment unit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a wireless charging tray, a heads-up display, an automatic air conditioning system, paddle shifters, a 6-speaker sound system, and a 360-degree camera.
Engine and transmission
Suzuki offers the Fronx in multiple engine options globally. The Indian-spec model comes in 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo petrol (100 hp and 147.6 Nm), a 1.2-litre DualJet natural aspirated petrol engine (90hp and 113Nm), and a CNG trim using the 1.2-litre unit.
The Indonesia-spec Fronx, on the contrary, is offered in a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine (101 hp and 135 Nm) and a mild-hybrid option, combining a 1.5-litre mill, an integrated starter generator, and a 12V lithium-ion battery pack.
Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Safety
Safety pack may comprise six airbags and advanced driver-assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, high beam assist, and collision-mitigating braking system.
Price
As for pricing, we can refer to the Indonesian market, where the Fronx recently went on sale at a price ranging between IDR 259 million (RM 67,265) and IDR 321.9 million (RM 83,601).
