Tesla coming to Thailand in December 2022; is Malaysia next?

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, it’s true. Tesla is coming to Thailand before the year-end, in December 2022, as per a social media post by Siam Paragon. Thus making Thailand the second Southeast Asian country after Singapore to welcome Elon Musk’s EV child.

Interestingly, no official word or confirmation has come from Tesla Thailand (none from the website or Facebook page). However, the post from Siam Paragon did mention an official Line page which only leads to Morty’s profile picture (from Rick and Morty Cartoon).

What is Siam Paragon? Well, it is a premier shopping mall in Thailand, located in Bangkok. It caters to the ultra-wealthy and therefore is the perfect place for Tesla’s debut. Accompanying Tesla's post debut at the mall will be brands like Aston Martin, Porsche, BMW, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, and Mini.

As for the image on the post, it looks like the headlight from either Model 3 or Model Y. On further zooming in, one can also see the wheel size (235 inches). Thus giving us a sure short hint that Tesla Model 3 will be the first Tesla to set foot in Thailand.

Also, in April Tesla (Thailand) Co. Ltd was registered and the automaker even listed prominent names of its Board of Directors.

Tesla in Malaysia

There is no word on Tesla’s arrival in Malaysia and the only way to acquire one is still via recond dealers.
