This is the world’s fastest and most powerful pickup

KUALA LUMPUR: You are here because of the intriguing title we have put up? Well, if yes, you won't be disappointed because the automotive world now has a new beast, the Mammoth 1000 TRX. Manufactured by the Texas-based high-performance automaker Hennessey, the Mammoth is indeed the world’s most powerful and fastest pickup.

John Hennessey, Founder and CEO of Hennessy said,“The new Mammoth 1000 TRX is the most powerful pickup truck that Hennessey Performance has ever offered. We’ve already sold more than 100 trucks, with each answering one big question – why have a 1,000-horsepower pickup truck? Because we can!”

What powers the fastest pickup in the world?

Well, the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 TRX is powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 mill that churns out a maximum power of 1,012 hp along with a peak torque of 1,314 Nm. The standard output of this engine is otherwise limited to 702 hp and 881 Nm.

The tuned power unit helps the pickup cover the century sprint in just 3.2 seconds, which is a full 1.3 seconds faster than the standard version.

Furthermore, the Dodge Ram 1500 TRX pickup is almost as fast as the most potent BMW, the M5 CS (0-100 kmph: 3.0 seconds, 0-200kmph: 10.3 seconds, & top speed: 305 kmph).

Achieving such high performance figures is no joke for Hennessey’s engineers as they had to upgrade several engine components to include a high flow supercharger system, revised spark plugs, thermostat, and high flow injectors, along with others.

What else the Mammoth 1000 TRX gets over and above the standard model?

The package includes a custom front and rear bumper, a front levelling kit, an LED light bar, exterior badges, and 20-inch Hennessey wheels (with optional 37-inch units).

Customers willing to turn their standard truck into a Mammoth 1000 will have to spend almost USD$ 150,000 (i.e., approx. RM 623,250). Also, after undergoing the modifications, each unit will undergo 300 km of road testing and will be accompanied by a serial number plaque.

Interested ones must hurry up, as the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 is limited to just 200 units.
