This stunner is called Zeekr 003; a Europe-specific EV to debut this year

KUALA LUMPUR: For those who aren’t aware, Zeekr is an offshoot electric vehicle brand from Geely founded in 2021. The brand already has two models in its lineup, the 001 crossover and the 009 MPV. And now the brand is ready with its third model which as per reports is referred to as the 003 crossover.

    Here’s what we know about the upcoming Zeekr 003 EV -

    • It will be underpinned by Geely’s Scalable Electric Architecture (SEA) platform
    • Will be comparable in size to the smart #1 that also use the same platform
    • Though official figures are not revealed yet, the EV is expected to be around 4,300 mm long with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm

    • Designed by Stefan Sielaff, Geely’s vice president of global design at the brand’s design center in Gothenburg, Sweden
    • It features slim LED daytime running lights, a horizontally-mounted headlamp, flush door handles, an upswept beltline, and a sloping roofline
    • The rear features a spoiler and an upright window, full-width tail lights, and a short wiper for the rear window

    • The cabin is expected to be minimalist with a small digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, and a center console between the front seats
    • The EV is expected to be powered by a single-motor, rear-wheel drive and a dual-motor, all-wheel drive unit; the same as the #1
    • It could also get a 66 kWh battery pack
