Nissan PIXO compact EV debuts in Europe with 259 km range

KUALA LUMPUR: Nissan has introduced an all-new A-segment electric city car, the PIXO, for the European market. The latest Nissan EV is developed under the Nissan-Renault Alliance, designed by Nissan and produced at Renault’s Novo Mesto manufacturing facility in Slovenia.

    Nissan PIXO: Key highlights

    • Designed for urban driving, the EV features cube-inspired proportions and compact dimensions, measuring 3,796 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, 1,512 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,492 mm. It has a ground clearance of 140 mm and a turning circle radius of 9.9 metres.
    • In terms of design, the PIXO has a “robot face” front bumper and Hyundai Ioniq-esque pixel accents front and rear, with pixel-inspired lighting and 18-inch wheels.

    • Accentuating its youthful character are striking paint options, including Wonder Purple and Gear Blue, which are contrasted by black trim pieces.
    • The Nissan PIXO is powered by a front-mounted electric motor that generates a maximum power of 82 hp. 
    • Feeding the motor is a 27.5kWh LFP battery,  the first LFP battery fitted to a Nissan model in Europe, which delivers a WLTP-rated driving range of up to 259 km. It supports  11kW AC charging and 50 kW DC rapid charging; the latter offers 15-80 per cent SoC in around 28 minutes. 
    • It comes equipped with connected technologies including the MyNissan app for navigation, real-time route planning, charging and vehicle functions and Google built-in, including Gemini for intuitive navigation, real-time route planning and seamless connectivity.

    • As for safety, the EV gets advanced driver assistance systems, including automated emergency braking, lane-keeping system and e‑Pedal technology.

    Customer deliveries of the all-new Nissan PIXO are scheduled to begin in early 2027 in Europe.
