Volkswagen launches two special editions of Amarok

KUALA LUMPUR: The German automobile manufacturer, Volkswagen has launched two exclusive editions of Amarok in the UK. One of them is named as the Amarok Black Edition, and the other one is known as Amarok Aventura Black Edition. There’s no difference in their powertrain as both of them come with the range-topping 3.0-litre TDI V6 motor, which is available in either 204 PS or 258 PS of maximum power.

The price of the base variant of Amarok is £35,790 (RM185k), whereas the Adventura Black Edition costs £41,950 (RM 211k). Both the special editions are placed in the top Highline trim and come equipped with blacked-out details such as the styling bar, 20-inch Talca alloys, sidebars, rear bumpers, and fog light frames as standard.

The cabin also flaunts a black treatment that looks very attractive and classy. Having said that, the cabin of the most expensive trim features Nappa leather interior, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, Ergo Comfort front seats, paddle shifters, front fog lamps, power-folding side mirrors, underbody cladding trim, front underbody guard and load compartment shield coating.


The transmission duties are performed by an eight-speed automatic gearbox, which aids in providing smooth and effortless shifts. Other than that, you also get features like a big load bay capacity, front and rear parking sensors, Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, and Trailer Stabilisation.

The black treatment continues on the dash, and it also gets the Vision package, which comprises of Discover Media Navigation system. This feature can be used by the user to inspect the data on display related to off-road. Except for the features mentioned above, the car is pretty much the same as the standard Amarok. If you want to get the Mountain Top roll covers on your vehicles, then you can get them installed for £1,665 (RM 8.6k).
