Volkswagen launched Passat UNITED and Tiguan UNITED models

KUALA LUMPUR: As the country is getting back to normal, the automotive companies are leaving no stone unturned to lure customers. Volkswagen is one such automaker who has already rolled out several promotional campaigns in the past few days and now come up with a new special edition series.

VPCM launched the new limited edition UNITED range, comprising Volkswagen Passat and Volkswagen Tiguan models. The new range signifies the strength of unity as a trait deeply embedded in the brand.  

For the limited-edition UNITED version, the automaker equipped the existing models with exclusive Volkswagen original accessories. It includes dynamic wheel hub caps with a self-levelling logo that stays upright when the car is in motion for both the models and LED door lights for Passat that projects the brand logo when the front doors are opened. 

With the accessories worth RM 12,000, Volkswagen Passat UNITED price marks at RM 193,856. Additional accessories comprise aluminium sports pedals and side scuff plates, new 19-inch Verona alloy wheels, UNITED emblem, and VW Tint.

Coming to Volkswagen Tiguan UNITED, it features a sporty front bumper, rear spoiler, chrome trunk garnish, chrome exhaust tip, load lip protector, UNITED emblem, and VW Tint. With the accessories worth RM 4,000, Tiguan UNITED is priced at RM 166,108. 

Managing Director Erik Winter explains that the UNITED range is introduced as a symbol of solidarity rooted within the brand. “While there is a connection between our UNITED range and Volkswagen’s involvement in football, the significance of the name and what it represents could not be more relevant today, with the challenges we are facing. Additionally, a core principle of the Volkswagen brand is #wenotme, which emphasises on unity and togetherness.”

In line with the 2020 SST exemption announced by the government, Volkswagen recently released the reduced prices for all its models, which will be valid from June 15 until December 31, 2020. Other additional deals include exclusive online rebates on the Volkswagen eShowroom, a six-month free installment option for Tiguan booked before June 30, 2020, and free home delivery service within 20 km range.
