Volvo ES90 ROI opens in Malaysia; launch set for Q1 2026
KUALA LUMPUR: 2026 is here, and the automakers are more ready than ever to bring their latest rides to the roads. Taking the lead, Volvo Car Malaysia has opened registrations of interest for its new fully electric sedan, the ES90, set to join its locally assembled lineup in the country.

Volvo ES90: Key highlights
- Based on Volvo’s modular SPA2 platform, the Es90 is a large sedan measuring 5000 mm in length, 1942 mm in width, and 1549 mm in height and spans a wheelbase of 3102 mm.
- It features a low-slung, sophisticated design with a drag coefficient of 0.25.
Photo from Volvo- The front is kitted with a closed-off front grille, Thor Hammer headlights, and a bold black bumper. Adding to the sophistication and functionality are C-shaped LED taillamps and dual-tone alloy wheels.
- The ES90 is Volvo's first passenger EV that underpins 800V architecture, with support for charging speeds of up to 350 kW. It can charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 22 minutes or gain 300 km of range in just 10 minutes.
- The EV offers both performance and practicality with a total system output of 333 PS and 480 Nm of torque and an estimated WLTP range of up to 651 km.
- Another stand-out feature of the upcoming Volvo EV is “NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin computing system,” making it the most powerful Volvo ever in terms of processing capacity. This system acts as the foundation for AI integration, next-gen safety intelligence, and data-driven optimisation.

- Feature kit may include - a 14.5-inch infotainment system, a 9-inch display driver display, a 13.2-inch head-up display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an electrochromic Panoramic roof and a four-zone climate system with an advanced air purifier.
