Volvo Malaysia gets its largest certified damage repair center

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, you read it right. Volvo Car Malaysia has opened doors to its latest and largest certified damage repair center. Called the Volvo Certified Damage Repair (VCDR) Centre, the new outlet is located in Juru, Penang, and comes equipped with modern and state-of-the-art systems.

Like Volvo’s other two VCDR centers, this one too ensures an “end-to-end high-quality body repair and paint service” for its customers.

Speaking at the launch of VCDR Juru, Volvo Car Malaysia Managing Director, Charles Frump, said: “The opening of our newest and biggest Volvo Certified Damage Repair Centre facility in Juru, Penang marks our commitment to providing our customers with top-notch after-sales care service.

“Our customers have always been a priority and with our third Volvo Certified Damage Repair Centre opening in less than a year, they can be assured that they are taken care of with Volvo’s international standard of care.”

New VCDR outlet: Key details

• The outlet has a built-up space of 40,000 sq feet
• It can handle up to 1,200 repair work per year

• It gets the Car-O-Liner advanced chassis alignment system and PIVAB paint booth with the fully electric and computerized system (the first of such installation within Malaysia), both approved by Volvo in Sweden

• Use of Glasurit paints and additives originating from Germany and are water-based making them eco-friendly
• Location: Lot 829, Jalan Saga Jaya 3, Taman Perindustrian Saga Jaya, 13600 Perai, Penang
