2025 Suzuki SV650 final edition launched in Malaysia at RM 29,900

KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new final edition of the popular Suzuki SV650 V-twin roadster has landed on Malaysian soil. The latest Suzuki model blends classic styling with modern engineering and marks a final, celebratory chapter in the story of a true legend.

First introduced in 1999, the middleweight V-twin has been in production for over 20 years. It competes with models like the Kawasaki Z650, Triumph Trident 660, CFMoto 650NK, and Aprilia Tuono 660 in the Malaysian market.

Price and colours 

Suzuki Malaysia retails the new SV650 for RM 29,900 (excluding road tax, insurance, and registration). As for colour options, customers get three exciting options - 

• Pearl Vigor Blue / Metallic Mat Black No.2
• Pearl Mat Shadow Green / Metallic Mat Black No.2
• Metallic / Mat Black No.2

Engine 

Currently in its fourth generation, the SV650 made a comeback with Suzuki’s Euro 5-compliant 645cc 90-degree V-Twin engine, which is tuned to deliver a maximum power of 74.9 hp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 59.9 Nm at 8,000 rpm. Power is transferred to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox.

Design and features

The new SV650 has a distinctive and timeless design that channels the spirit of the modern-day samurai. Based on a truss pipe frame, the bike features a slim, lightweight body with a seat height of 785 mm, making it accessible to most riders. 

With retro-modern styling elements, the vehicle comes equipped with the following features, elevating the overall riding experience -​

• LED tail light and stop light
• Full LCD instrument console
• Suzuki Easy Smart System
• Suzuki’s Low RPM Assist 
• 17-inches front and rear wheels 
• 14.5-litres fuel tank 

Suspension and braking

Front suspension	Non-adjustable Telescopic forks with 41 mm of travel
Rear suspension	Seven-step preload adjustable monoshock with 130 mm of travel
Front brakes	Dual 290 mm diameter discs with twin Nissin callipers
Rear brakes	Single hydraulic disc

The braking setup is also complemented by a two-channel anti-lock braking system.
