The first ride I made on the Defender 90 was to the Cameron Highlands. Truth be told, the ease with which it handled the muddy trails and steep climbs left me awestruck completely. Thanks to the shorter wheelbase, maneuvering along Malaysian plantation’s narrow roads got nimble for me. The air suspension makes riding over potholes smooth and bumpy-free while its 2.0L turbocharged engine always gives me a pull that I think none can deliver. With the Meridian sound system and the modern touchscreen infotainment, the cabin feels like a posh lounge I can’t get enough of. The only downside is its excessively high fuel consumption for urban drives.
