2016 Range Rover Evoque Facelift Launched at RM430,000

Kaula Lumpur: Jaguar Land Rover has launched its facelifted Range Rover Evoque in Malaysia at a price tag of RM430,000 inclusive of GST, registration and insurance. Earlier, the manufacturer also released limited edition Land Rover Defender in the country. The limited editions were restricted to a few countries and Malaysia was amongst them, which hints the inclination of the company towards Malaysian market.

The 2016 version of this sleek crossover has created a lot of buzz among auto aficionados because of its improved aesthetics. At the front end, it gets redesigned bumper with larger air intakes, newly styled front grille with slim fog lamps and LED Integrated Xenon headlamps while the rear section receives refreshed tailgate spoiler, LED adaptive tail-lamps.

Besides these, the all-new Evoque is equipped with a new set of 19-inch alloys as standard and a fixed panoramic roof as an optional feature. All these features provide a refreshed and different look to it than its predecessor. Along with these offers, the SUV gets a standard powered tailgate which can be operated by two ways, either by waving the foot under the rear bumper or it can be opened independently by using a button on the tailgate.

Inside the cabin, it gets brand new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is complemented by 8-speakers, Bluetooth and USB connectivity and InControl Touch infotainment system that allows users to navigate the menu with an ease. The all-new Evoque also features new door casing and tempting instrumental console with high-resolution 5-inch TFT display. In addition, the brand has also offered 12-way adjustable driver seat along with stylish leather covering, which makes Evoque facelift a tempting package for all the four-wheeled machine enthusiasts. It is available in three color option namely Ebony Black, Almond/Espresso and Lunar/Cirrus.

Under the hood, this Range Rover crossover holds a Si4 2.0-litre petrol turbocharged engine which comes paired with a ZF nine-speed automatic transmission. It generates maximum power of 236.7 hp and a peak torque of 340 Nm. With such engine specs, 2016 Evoque is capable of clocking 0-100 kmph mark in just 7.6 seconds from a standstill position and can touch a mark of 217 kmph as a top speed.

Standing against Audi Q5, Evoque has a tough competition in the market and with a slight change in the appearance, the SUV might push the sales chart of the British marque in Malaysia in an effective manner. To further promote the sales in the country, Land Rover Malaysia is offering an attractive after-sales package which comprises of a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty, 5-year or 80,000 km free scheduled maintenance and a 3-year roadside assistance that saves your hard earned penny.
