
KUALA LUMPUR: September seems to be a pretty exciting month for the auto industry, as Malaysia is all set to welcome the new Everest SUV, and the world is all set to see the next-gen Subaru XV in the flesh.
Subaru has finally made the 2023 XV’s arrival official and has disclosed the crossover’s launch date as Sept 15. All this info was shared by the automaker via a very interactive teaser video.

Though the upcoming Subaru mainly remains in shadow the whole time, keeping everyone on their toes. What we were able to see slightly clearly was the car's redesigned headlamps with LED DRLs in a twin-strip design along with C-shaped tail lights.
The interior was kept hidden for the whole time, multiplying everyone's excitement by manifold. However, Subaru’s new crossover is expected to benefit from a lot of features we see in the new 2022 WRX. For instance, the 11.6-inch infotainment display with air-conditioner controls within the same bezel.
The powertrain details are still under cover like many other details. However, the 2023 XV is expected to be powered by either a naturally-aspirated 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine generating 115 PS at 6,200 rpm along with a peak torque of 148 Nm at 3,600 rpm. Or a 145 PS/ 188 Nm making e-Boxer hybrid 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle engine paired with an e-motor.
