2025 MINI Cooper Convertible launched in Malaysia; here’s all you need to know

KUALA LUMPUR: Alongside the all-new JCW lineup, MINI recently introduced the refreshed Cooper Convertible in the Malaysian market. The latest model is a true standout in the brand’s lineup, offering a unique open-air driving experience.

Price 

The new MINI Cooper Convertible is offered in a single ICE-powered S variant, priced at RM 318,888. Included in the price is a standard two-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. However, if you want a four-year extended warranty and service package, you need to shell out an additional amount of RM 10,400.

Exterior

One of the new MINI Cooper Convertible's standout features is a fully automatic soft top that opens in just 18 seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to 30 kmph. 

This 3-in-1 roof comes with sunroof mode, which opens up to 40 cm to let the sun shine in. It also supports a 'rain warner' app allowing you to close the roof with your smartphone if it’s likely to rain where you’ve parked it.

The drop-top Cooper's front design retains the iconic MINI identity, with an octagonal radiator grille and round headlights with high-beam assistant. With compact proportions, the car boasts short overhangs and a length of 3,879 mm, making it suitable for tight parking spaces. It has a long wheelbase of 2,495 mm and large 18-inch Night Flash spoke 2-tone wheels.  

Adding to the vehicle’s modern appeal are front and rear LED lighting units that support different light signatures, including welcome and goodbye animations.

Interior

The minimalist cabin of the new drop-top Cooper comes equipped with premium materials, enhancing every aspect of the driving experience. The key highlights include -
