All-new 2021 Isuzu D-Max launched in the UK
KUALA LUMPUR: Isuzu UK lineup now gets the all-new 2021 D-Max. The automaker is offering the pickup in three body styles - single, extended, and double cab along with three versions - Adventure, Business, and All-Purpose.
Priced at £20,999 (approx. RM119,080), all the 2021 D-Max models are powered by a Euro 6D emission standards compatible diesel mill that makes a maximum power of 164 PS and a peak torque of 360 Nm. On the transmission front is present either a standard 6-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic transmission with two and four-wheel drive. The new D-Max comes with a towing capacity of 3.5 tons and a maximum payload of 1,120 kg.
The new Isuzu D-Max Adventure trim comes with gunmetal exterior accents and an automatic headlamp leveling function. On the inside, it gets leather seats, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an auto-dimming IRVM.
The Utility trim which is part of the Business range features head-wearing black plastic side mirror casing, bumper, and door handles. It also features vinyl flooring and steel wheels. Further, part of the kit is an automatic headlight with high beam assist, speed-sensitive power steering, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, DAB radio, and stop/start system.
Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) suite of driver assistance features is also part of the Utility trim kit. It includes traffic sign recognition, autonomous emergency braking, intelligent speed limiter, lane departure warning, and prevention. In the double cab version, Isuzu adds emergency lane keeping, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert.
Part of the D-Max All Purpose range is the DL20 and DL40 (here DL stands for standard diff-lock, whereas the numbers 20 & 40 signifies the order). They can be ordered with the six-speed automatic gearbox which gets the ADAS functionality of adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.
Talking specifically, the D20 benefits from grey radiator grille, body-coloured bumpers, 18-inch alloy wheels, silver door handles, front centre armrest, and heated front seats. The DL40, on the other hand, comes with chrome grille, bi-LED headlights, LED DRLS, fog lamps, and taillights, front parking sensor, silver side steps, and reversing camera. On the inside, it gets a 7-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, and keyless entry.
As for the V-Cross trim level of the Advantage range, the D-Max features gunmetal exterior detailing, and automatic headlight leveling. The cabin benefits from a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment display, leather upholstery, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and branded carpet mats.
2021 Isuzu D-Max exterior colour options include -
- D-Max Utility: Splash White, Onyx Black, Mercury Silver, and Obsidian Grey
- D-Max DL20: Valencia Orange and Spinel Red
- V-Cross: Pearl White
The all-new D-Max will arrive in the authorized Isuzu UK showroom next month.
