Next-gen Toyota Hilux global debut on November 10
KUALA LUMPUR: The Toyota Hilux remains the undefeated legend in the mid-size pickup segment worldwide, and it's now gearing up for a new-generation upgrade on November 10, 2025, in Thailand. It will replace the long-running model introduced in 2015, which has been refreshed several times over the years.

Exterior
As per the teaser video, the new Hilux will come with a redesigned front fascia featuring slimmer headlamps with integrated daytime running lights and bold Toyota lettering on the front grille. Adding to the muscular styling is a sculpted bonnet with a central recess.
Photo from ToyotaThe rear styling also looks striking with C-shaped rear tail lights, redesigned bootlid featuring prominent Toyota branding, and embossed HILUX handle with integrated third brake light. The upgraded model also benefits from a new pair of sporty 7-spoke black alloy wheels.

The new Hilux is expected to get the updated version of the existing ladder-frame underpinnings with the same 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre turbocharged engines currently offered either with or without a 48V mild-hybrid system. As for reference, the mild-hybrid 2.8-litre turbodiesel mill produces a maximum power of 204 PS and a peak torque of 500 Nm. Power is sent to either the rear or all four wheels through an automatic gearbox.
In addition to conventional setups, the company also hinted at the fully electric version of the Hilux (BEV) under the IMV series umbrella.
Interior
Inside the cabin, we can expect substantial cosmetic and tech changes, including a newly designed angular dashboard layout integrating a digital instrument cluster and a large advanced touchscreen infotainment unit supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
