BMW M6 Competition Package receives more powertrain, now 600 hp power
Kuala Lumpur: Facelifted just last year, BMW M6 has now received a more, to put it in right words, competitive Competition Package for its 2015 models, and this is just the cherry on the cake for the oomph factor this furious race sedan already delivers with its jaw-dropping performance and cutting-edge aesthetics.
With the newly installed 4.4-litre V8 engine now, the power output now measures a monstrous 600 hp, 40 hp more than what was sported on the previous models and also 25 hp more than the previous Competition Package. The torque involved increases to 700 Nm between 1500 to 6000 rpm. Hence, now BMW M6 blazes past the 100 kmph mark from a halt in just around 3.8 seconds, bettering its previous time by two tenth of a second for the previous Competition Package, which in itself was 0.1 seconds better than the standard version. What is more impressive is the fact that M6 can reach the 200 kmph mark is slightly un-believable 11.8 seconds, a full 0.6 seconds less than before. The top speed stays limited to 250 kmph, but with the optional M Driver package, this also can be increased to 305 kmph.

As before, the newer Competition Package also indulges dampers and anti-roll bars, firmer springs, a more direct steering along with a DSC system (Direct Stability Control) and a seperate control unit altogether for Active M Differential's final drive for traction improvement. On the outside, this optional pack gets secen-spoke 20-inch light alloy wheels containing black chrome exhaust tips.
