Brabus G700 6X6 Launched in Malaysia; Limited to 15 Units Worldwide

Kuala Lumpur: Naza world has brought exclusive right-hand drive Brabus G700 6X6 to Malaysia which is limited to just 15 units. This car is currently displayed at the Naza World Automall showroom in Petaling Jaya. This comes as a surprise as Mercedes-Benz never made this vehicle in right-hand drive, but Brabus has done it finally. It becomes all the more exclusive because it is available only in Malaysia. These right-hand drive models are last of their kind, all around the world, because Mercedes-Benz has now ceased the production of this 6X6 vehicle. Nothing much has been revealed about the pricing aspect, but it is expected that Brabus G700 6X6 price will start from 698,888 euros (RM3,247,685) excluding taxes.

Based on the G63 Mercedes AMG 6X6, the 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that delivered 544 hp was not enough to get a Brabus badge. So Brabus took it to their garage and fitted their own version of the engine. This new engine feature two bigger turbochargers, an upgraded ECU and a new exhaust system with “coming home” mode and “sport” position. It also churns out a maximum power of 700 PS at 5300 rpm along with a peak torque of 960 Nm at 2000 -4500 rpm. Further, it is mated to Mercedes AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic automatic gearbox. From a position of halt, it reaches an acceleration of 100 kmph in just 7.4 seconds along with a top speed of 160 kmph.

The interior and exterior styling has also been customised by Brabus. The exterior of Brabus G700 features a lot of chrome and carbon fibre along with darkened headlamps and LED taillights while the interior gets an Alcantara leather upholstery. With a weight of 3.5 tonnes, it now measures 2.11 meters wider. Further, it is also anchored with 37-inch heavy duty tyres for better off-road performance.
