Check out the all-new 2021 Ford Ranger Raptor X & FX4

KUALA LUMPUR: Australia will be the first amongst many to enjoy two of Ford’s upcoming offerings - the Ranger Raptor X and FX4. The information was recently announced by Ford Australia with the month of launch specified as July.

Though we’ll not be benefiting from Ford’s latest offering, there’s no harm in getting to know them. So, let’s get started with the Ranger Raptor X -

2021 Ford Ranger Raptor X

Ford first introduced the pickup three years back and it is still going strong. Over the years, it has witnessed several price hikes and this time is no different either. For the fourth time now, Ford has increased the model’s price by AUD$1,700 (approx. RM 5.4k).

As can be seen in the images, the new Ranger Raptor X is a stunning car with several over-the-top elements like the new ‘Over The Top’ stripes, black sports bar, Asphalt Black matte alloy wheels, matte finish grille, black Ford logo on the tail light, and red front tow hooks.

On the inside, it gets a steering wheel with red stitching and black trim on the doors and dashboard.

2021 Ford Ranger Raptor FX4

In its latest version, the Ranger Raptor FX4 is sure making a strong comeback. In the Ford Australia lineup, it will be positioned between the XLT & FX4 Max trim.

The Australian-spec model is available in two powertrain options - a 3.2-litre 5-cylinder turbo mill paired with 6-speed manual and a 2.0-litre biturbo unit making a maximum power of 213 PS and a peak torque of 500 Nm. The latter is coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

It packs several high-end exteriors and interior elements like -

• FX4 Black mesh grille
• Bi-LED headlights
• 18-inch alloy wheels
• Special decals with 3D effect
• Black extended sports bar
• Red stitching on the instrument panel and seat with FX4 embossment
• Graphite accents on door trims and instrument panel
• FX4 floor mats

As for the 2021 Ford Ranger Raptor FX4 price, the base version retails for AUD$59,990, while the 2.0L biturbo trim costs AUD$63,690.
