  • Continental kicked off its 150 years of long and strong existence via Wheely Great 150 Years Campaign. As per the brand, it was a small gesture on their part to give back to the community and thank their loyal customers.

“We are thankful for our customers’ participation and the opportunity to contribute to our community. All of us at Continental wish to do our part to uplift society, especially amid the ongoing difficulties of living in pandemic times,” said Andrea Somorova, Managing Director for Continental Tyre Malaysia.

During this two-month-long campaign, Continental offered a RM 100 worth of e-vouchers to every customer purchasing two-car or one motorcycle tyre. Also, for each sale the company did during the period, a donation of RM 5 was made to Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK). Cumulatively, the tyre manufacturer donated a total of RM115,500 to KSK, which in turn will help those in need of desperate care.

This time, KSK directed the donation coming from Continental towards its Be the Light Household Items Project and Food Mission 2022. Under this programme, a total of 615 urban poor and Orang Asli families living across Peninsular Malaysia will get access to essential items, including food packages and appliances worth RM 150.

The participating families will be visited by members of the Continental Tyre Malaysia who would then ensure donations reached the rightful beneficiaries.
