Coronavirus: Good News Bulletin - I

Coronavirus, officially called COVID-19 has stopped our lives, we are home-quarantine to control the spread of the virus. The pandemic disease has created panic at the global level. But amid all this negativity, here we bring some positive updates on coronavirus outbreak from all around the world.

Coronavirus vaccine

Unfortunately, the coronavirus has infected many people around the globe. The community of scientists is working day and night to find the antidote for the lethal virus. WHO stated that it is working with scientists globally and at least 20 different coronavirus vaccines are under trial presently. It also makes us believe that the race for vaccine development has made remarkable progress and the positive results will come soon.

Recovery percentage

While the number of  COVID-19 cases has surpassed 5,50,530 as of now, around 1,28,700 people have recovered. WHO says those who become infected from the virus generally experience mild illness and recover in approximately two weeks.

Pollution ratio

Coronavirus pandemic has led to a huge decline in air pollution. The shutting down of factories and almost negligible traffic on roads contributed to the decline in the pollution index. As per the readings of ESA’s Sentinel-5P satellite, the levels of NO2 (nitrogen dioxide) over the industrial clusters and cities in Europe and Asia are markedly lower in the past six weeks than the same period in the last year.

Free entertainment

Getting bored during quarantine, do not be so! Because a number of streaming services are offering free trials to the masses and have extended offers due to the coronavirus crisis. From Amazon to music artists, sports channels and a lot of other entertaining stuff, there’s no shortage of content to choose from.

A positive thought

After analyzing the number of COVID-19 cases worldwide, a Nobel laureate and Stanford biophysicist, Michael Levitt has concluded that the world will recover fast from the coronavirus. He made a statement, “What we need is to control the panic. We are going to be fine soon.” Earlier, Levitt predicted that China would get through this outbreak and results are in front of us. Now he forecasts the same outcome for the US and the rest of the world.

These updates are a sign of relief, they make us believe that the lockdown will lift soon and we will be free to fly high in the sky.
