Ford Ranger WildTrak 3.0L V6 turbo diesel launched in Malaysia – 250PS, 600Nm,RM192k

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ford Ranger family in Malaysia just got a major power upgrade. Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor of Ford vehicles locally, has officially launched the new Ford Ranger WildTrak 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel, priced from RM192,888 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM198,688 in Sabah and Sarawak.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How powerful is the Ford Ranger WildTrak 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel?

It produces 250PS and 600Nm, making it the most powerful Ranger WildTrak in Malaysia to date.
  • What are the key new features of the WildTrak V6?

It gets a 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine, 10-speed auto, full-time 4WD, six drive modes, Matrix LED headlights, 12-inch SYNC 4A infotainment, and a comprehensive ADAS suite.
  • This latest addition to the Ranger line-up promises more muscle and refinement than before, thanks to its 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine that delivers 250PS at 3,250 rpm and a hefty 600Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. That makes it the most powerful WildTrak variant offered here to date.

    Powertrain and drive modes

Under the hood, the V6 is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel drive system, offering strong pulling power and smoother acceleration across different terrains.

Drivers also get access to six drive modes – Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, and Sand – along with four drivetrain settings, making the WildTrak equally at home in city traffic or off the beaten track.

On the outside, the WildTrak V6 stands out with Matrix LED headlamps, Ford’s signature C-clamp daytime running lights, 20-inch alloy wheels with 255/55 R20 tyres, and a distinctive V6 badge on the fender. The package also includes a full-size spare wheel, powered side mirrors with puddle lamps, and an overall bolder stance.

Inside, Ford has updated the cabin with a 12-inch SYNC 4A infotainment screen, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and paired with an 8-inch multi-information display for key driving data.
