GT Sport to release new Time Trial Challenge mode on November 28

KUALA LUMPUR: Polyphony Digital, the creator of the popular Gran Turismo Sport, has announced to release a new game mode on November 28. This new mode will enable users to compete against a time trial with the Formula 1 World Champion, Lewis Hamilton.

The famous racing simulator videogame has been a craze amongst gamers ever since its launch back in 2017. Published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, this year witnessed the 13th game release of the Gran Tourismo Series.

The new mode that is set to be released will be available as downloadable content. The update will allow gamers to compete with Hamilton on a one-on-one, over ten of the game’s circuits. These circuits include the Autodromo Lago Maggiore - GP, Autódromo de Interlagos,

Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit, Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit, Dragon Trail - Seaside, Nürburgring Nordschleife, Nürburgring GP, Willow Springs International Raceway and Suzuka Circuit.

Gran Tourismo Series new mode

The winners who manage to achieve a gold rating in the given challenges would be rewarded with an increase in the in-game credit limit to 100 million from 20 million. Meanwhile, players who manage to achieve a copper rating or better would be rewarded with additional credits and cars as per their achievement in the game.

Gran Tourismo Series time-trial mode

Players will have access to replays of the driving footage and theories of the Formula 1 star. Where the racer will assist the gamers in overcoming the challenges, also reveal his driving philosophy and techniques. This update includes video tutorials where Hamilton advises and comments on performance over voice messages.

At a presentation in Monaco, Hamilton mentioned, ‘the laps will be very hard to beat, and that if anyone beats him, he’ll be back to set better laps.’
