KLIMS 2024: MG7, MG3 Hybrid+, & MG ZS Hybrid+ make stunning debuts

KUALA LUMPUR: MG unveils an exciting range of new models at the 2024 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS), taking place from December 5 to 11 at MITEC. The brand introduces the MG7, MG3 Hybrid+, and MG ZS Hybrid+, with ambitions to expand its presence across multiple segments in the Malaysian market.

The new models offer more diverse options to Malaysian riders, embracing both hybrid technology and stylish catering to evolving market demands. 

Let’s have a closer look at these latest MG cars in Malaysia - 

MG7

The MG7 is a fastback sedan designed for style and performance. It measures 4,884 mm in length, 1,889 mm in width, 1,447 mm in height and spans a wheelbase of 2,778 mm. Key exterior highlights include - an adaptive electric spoiler, frameless doors, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The sedan also features a variable sport exhaust system, red brake calipers, and a sleek LED rear light setup, enhancing its sporty and modern look.

The model on display at the show is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering a maximum power of 261 PS and a peak torque of 405 Nm.

The interior looks quite elegant and modern with bucket leather seats and a 12.3-inch infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other highlights include -

MG ZS Hybrid+

Globally unveiled in August this year, the all-new 2025 MG ZS Hybrid+ also steals the show. It is powered by an electrified drivetrain comprising a 102 PS/128 Nm 1.5-litre NA gasoline mill and a 136 PS/250 Nm e-motor, which generates a total system output of 196 PS and 465 Nm.

The new MG ZS Hybrid measures 4,430 mm in length, 1,818 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height, and spans a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. In terms of style, the SUV has a dynamic front fascia with a full-strength hood and “Hunter-eyes” headlights with connecting daytime running lights. Adding to the sporty look are a wide open grille, a smooth spoiler, and 18-inch Sabre alloy wheels.

Inside, the MG ZS Hybrid is packed with several modern tech appointments, including -

MG3 Hybrid+

The MG3 Hybrid+ is a B-segment hatchback that made its world premiere in March this year. As the name suggests, it comes equipped with a hybrid drivetrain combining a 1.5-litre inline four-cylinder petrol engine and a 136 PS/250 Nm electric motor. The combined system output is rated at 194 PS and 313 Nm.

The hatchback has a length of 4,113 mm, a width of 1,797 mm, a height of 1,502 mm with a wheelbase of 2,570 mm. 

Designed by MG’s Shanghai studio, the new MG3 features a new sporty design with the new-generation DNA. The key exterior highlights include - LED headlights, a wide open grille, a smooth spoiler, and 16-inch Atlas alloy wheels.

The interior exudes premium quality with a stylish 2-tone design and sporty details. The feature kit includes -
