MG Motor Malaysia supports 900+ km charity ride with S5 EV as local guide

KUALA LUMPUR: MG Motor Malaysia extended its support for the Malaysian leg of the Specialised Mavericks’ charity ride for Tour de Cure, a global initiative focused on raising funds and awareness for cancer research. The ride covered 900 km between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and brought together a community united by resilience, purpose, and compassion.

Purpose of the Tour de Cure charity ride

Flagged off on April 2 from Singapore, the journey reflected a shared commitment to raising awareness and support for those affected by cancer, with every kilometre symbolising hope, solidarity, and strength. 

More than just an endurance sport, the ride carried emotional and personal meaning, reinforcing the message of Tour de Cure: that no one faces the fight against cancer alone.

MG Motor Malaysia’s role in the Tour de Cure charity ride

• Motor Malaysia contributed to this initiative by providing the MG S5 EV to serve as a local guide and second support vehicle during the Malaysian portion of the route. 
• Together with the lead support vehicle from MG Singapore, the MG S5 EV helped the cyclists navigate unfamiliar local routes of the country while providing additional support and visibility on the road.
• Led by Eurokars Group and MG Singapore, this initiative underscores strong regional collaboration and highlights how mobility can support meaningful causes.
