Maserati launches Levante Vulcano with only 10 units for Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: As part of the 10-year celebration, Maserati distributor Naza Italia has brought the limited edition Levante Vulcano to Malaysia. This limited edition model will be available in select exterior colors and interior trims. There will be only 150 units available worldwide of which 10 have made it to Malaysia.

On the exterior front, you get the GranSport package as standard, featuring a more aggressive Torofeo-style front bumper. You also get the Nerissimo appearance pack which adds black chrome front grille/logos, glossy black window surrounds, burnished tailpipes, body-colored door handles, and dark tail light clusters. The exclusive paint scheme for the Levante Vulcano is matte Grigio Lava grey. The beautiful 21-inch Helios two-tone alloy wheels cover the red 6-piston Brembo brakes while the laminated privacy windows add a sense of class.

On the inside, you are greeted with a flamboyant fully red Pieno Flore leather seats with contrast black stitching and the Trident insignia on the headrests. This look is where the Vulcano name is derived from. The seats are also ventilated for added comfort and convenience. Apart from this, you also get an impressive Bowers & Wilkins sound system, soft-close doors, LED matrix adaptive headlights, front/rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system. Safety wise the Vulcano comes with the latest technology like Forward Collision Warning (with autonomous braking), Highway Assist System, Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Powering the SUV is a Ferrari 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6. The unit churns out a healthy 430 PS and 580 Nm of torque, 0-100 kmph takes 5.2 seconds and top speed reaches 264 kmph. All this power is delivered via the ZF 8-speed transmission to all wheels using the companies Q4 system. Helping the dynamics and stability are the active air suspension system with Skyhook adaptive dampers and a rear limited-slip differential.

Maserati offers the standard Levante and the Levante S, but only the S model will be offered in Malaysia. It is priced at RM838,800 (excluding on-road costs). This makes the Levante S RM50,000 more than the standard S model, a worthy upgrade considering all the extra features you get.
