Maserati plans to produce full-electric models
KUALA LUMPUR: During the ‘MMXX: Time to be Audacious’ event held last year, Maserati made an announcement to revamp the brand and it is now ready to launch its new 100% electric range, the Folgore. Thus becoming the first Italian luxury car brand to produce fully-electric cars.

As for Folgore's full-electric strategy, it has been developed keeping in mind customers' requirements, which also is part of the brand’s DNA and is the focus of every single product.

A true icon for Maserati, it will offer cutting-edge tech solutions derived from Formula E along with superb performance, elegance, and comfort.
Also, the all-new Grecale SUV that is scheduled to launch in a few days will be offered in an electric version next year.

In short, all Maserati models will be available in 100% electric versions by 2025. So, the Maserati Foigore offering will be complemented by the MC20 super sports car, all-new Levante SUV, and the new Quattroporte sports sedan. Thus attracting luxury car buyers in all segments.
For into the future, i.e. by 2030, the entire Maserati range will be fully electrified. All of its new models will be developed, engineered, and built 100% in Italy and will feature an electric powertrain.
As for the brand’s last year's sales performance, Maserati reported a hike in its global market share by 2.4%. Also, it registered a 41% year-on-year growth in sales with a total
of 24,268 units sold.
Hiked by the outstanding response, the company is now carving out the roadmap to become the first luxury car brand to a 100% electric sports car.
