Mitsubishi ASX lineup updated for Malaysia, starting RM105k

Kuala Lumpur: The Mitsubishi family is looking for a better future in Malaysia. The company is expanding its model range in the country to allure more and more potential buyers towards it. The Japanese carmaker recently announced a refreshed and updated lineup for its popular ASX lineup with minor enhancements. ASX lineup is a group of compact SUVs that offer everything from practicality to technology. This new entry-level variant is coming at a starting price to just RM105k.

According to the sources, the all-new ASX 2WD GL is going to be priced exactly at RM104,792 on-the-road without insurance. Along with it the ASX 2WD and ASX 4WD will also join at prices RM112,571 and RM125,041. We can observe some minor price drops from its previous versions priced at RM114,043 and RM128,179, respectively. This price drop maybe because the ASX is being locally-assembled at Tan Chong’s Segambut plant.

The refreshed compact SUV now features daytime running lights in the fog lamp housing along with a “shark fin” antenna. Also, the company has added an all new Sporty Blue exterior colour the existing grey, silver and white arsenal. Apart from it the standard kit across all the three-variant range includes leather seats, automatic air con, colour multi-info display and auto retractable side mirrors.

The car is also added with a touchscreen entertainment system with Virtual Acoustic Positioning System (VAPS) is standard for the 2WD and 4WD variants along with USB, Bluetooth, navigation, a slightly revised centre console and piano black door switch panels.

The top end 4WD now comes with seven airbags and two-tone 17-inch alloys, augmenting the car's looks. The existing features like keyless entry with push start, cruise control, steering paddle shifters and Active Stability Control still remains in the all-new ASX crossover.

Beneath the bonnet, the all-new ASX hold a 2.0-litre engine churning out 150 PS and 197 Nm of torque. As per Mitsubishi, this time there is also an MIVEC unit coupled with the CVT gearbox with Sports Mode proffering better acceleration and fuel efficiency.

The all new ASX crossover will be a blistering rival to Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3 and Renault Captur.

His childhood craving for the cars started with Hot wheels toys which led him to create pseudo cars on his own.
