Naza Group spreads Ramadan cheer; visits children cancer ward and old folks home

KUALA LUMPUR: The CRS foundation of Naza Group of Companies called the Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin was established in honour of the group’s late founder, Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin. It was created with a mission to aid the underprivileged communities in Malaysia in areas of healthcare, education, and community development. As a part of company’s CRS activities and also to spread Ramadan joy, the company’s officials visited the Children’s Cancer Ward in Hospital Kuala Lumpur and old folks’ home.

The Pusat Jagaan Al-Fikrah old folks’ home was visited by foundation’s volunteers making the Ramadhan more meaningful. Present at the old folks’ home were Puan Sri Datin Seri Utama Zaleha Ismail, her family, and Co-founder & Director of the Naza Group of Companies. Daily necessities and Zakat were distributed to the residents of the old folks’ home.

SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, Group Executive Chairman & CEO, Naza Corporation Holdings, said, “The Naza Group has been practicing the sharing of festive joy with welfare homes since the foundation was established, through the foundation’s community outreach programmes that underline our initiatives of being a caring corporate citizen that is actively involved in community building,”.

The Children’s Cancer Ward of Kuala Lumpur Hospital was visited by Naza Group shareholders, their families, and Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin’s volunteers. A clown was also arranged for the childer along with some enjoyable activities. Hari Raya goodies and duit raya were given to the kids by the foundation.

SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, Group Executive Chairman & CEO, Naza Corporation Holdings, said, “We want to share our good fortune and blessings with the less fortunate especially during the month of Ramadhan. All the activities and programmes by Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin serve the purpose of giving hope, strength, courage, and motivation to the needy. We hope to be a part of a caring society and continue to give back to the communities we operate in together with our employees,”

Over the year, the Naza Group via the Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin foundation has conducted 12 education workshops, distributed zakat to 26 schools, donated school uniforms, food items, other necessities, and donated 188 vehicles.
