Neta V electric hatchback launching in Malaysia on October 25

KUALA LUMPUR: The Chinese electric vehicle brand, Neta, is all prepared to launch its first electric car in Malaysia, the Neta V. The official launch of the EV will take place on 25th October, 2023 at IOI City Mall, according to the brand’s official social media handle.

First previewed at the Malaysia Auto Show 2023, the Neta V is an electric hatchback that measures almost the same as the Toyota Yaris. Here are the key highlights of the EV - 

• The Neta V underpins the HPC platform and accommodates a front-mounted electric motor that generates a maximum power of 95 PS and a peak torque of 150 Nm
• The motor is fed by a 38.5-kWh lithium-ion battery offering a range of 384 km (on the NEDC cycle)
• As for charging, it supports both AC and DC charging. The 6.6 kW AC port charges the battery in 8 hours while the 100 kW fast charger provides a 30-80% state of charge in just 30 minutes

• The EV has a Dolphin Streamline-inspired design with sharp and powerful headlights, LED daytime running lights, laser-engraved LED tail lights, LED brake light, a sporty rear spoiler, and 16-inch alloy wheels

• Dimensionally, it is 4070 mm long, 1690 mm wide, 1540 mm tall, and carries a wheelbase of 2,420 mm
• The exterior colour palette includes - Moonlight Green, Cayan, White Storm, Midnight Grey, Sakura Pink, and Sky Blue
• The interior kit comprises - a 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-inch digital instrument panel, a keyless entry and start, electronic parking brake with auto brake hold, synthetic leather upholstery, 4-way powered front seats

• As for safety, it comes with two airbags, hill start assist, hill descent control, ABS with EBD, a rear View Camera, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, cruise control system, and tyre pressure monitor system

During the preview, the Neta V had a price tag of RM 99,800 with a RM 10,000 cash rebate. However, for the official pricing, we'll need to wait for its official launch scheduled for October 25, 2023.
