PolicyStreet launches ‘10+10’ car insurance promo, 10% off premiums plus RM10 discount

PolicyStreet launches ‘10+10’ car insurance promo, 10% off premiums plus RM10 discount

KUALA LUMPUR: PolicyStreet is kicking off what it calls its biggest car insurance promotion so far, a campaign branded the ‘10+10’ Promo that mixes an uncapped 10% discount on car insurance premiums with an extra RM10 off at checkout.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • When is PolicyStreet’s ‘10+10’ car insurance promo running?

From 2 January until the end of April.
  • What discounts do I get from the 1st to 24th of the month?

A 10% discount on your base premium after NCD, plus an extra RM10 off reflected at checkout.
  • The company says the push is meant to get more Malaysians comparing insurers instead of renewing on autopilot, with savings positioned as the hook.

“Running from 2 January until the end of April, the ‘10+10’ Promo is structured around how Malaysians spend at different points of the month, as financial priorities and cashflow needs are not the same for everyone.

Our goal is to make car insurance more accessible by offering meaningful savings and flexible options that cater to Malaysians across different financial situations,” said Yen Ming Lee, Co-founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of PolicyStreet.

How the PolicyStreet ‘10+10’ car insurance promo works

The campaign is split into two phases each month, with different offers depending on the date.

1st to 24th of the month

    • 10% discount on the car insurance base premium after Non-Claim Discount (NCD)

    • Additional RM10 discount by PolicyStreet, shown at the checkout page

    • Available only during two daily payment windows, 10 am to 11 am and 10 pm to 11 pm

    • PolicyStreet says if your base premium after NCD is RM1,000 and above, the uncapped 10% discount works out to at least RM100 in savings

25th to the last day of the month

    • The offer shifts from premium discounting to free road tax, capped at RM90

    • PolicyStreet says customers can pair this with Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options including Atome, SPay Later, or Grab PayLater, mainly to reduce the upfront hit when renewal season lands at an awkward time of the month

No promo code, but you still need to time your payment

Like PolicyStreet’s earlier sales-style campaigns, the process is built around getting a quote first, then only completing payment during the fixed windows to trigger the discount.

Customers request a quotation via car.policystreet.com, and PolicyStreet says quotation links remain valid for up to two weeks, giving some breathing room to compare insurers and coverage before paying.

That said, the “sale window” setup also means the deal is not a blanket all-day discount, you have to check out during the specific hours if you want the premium discount portion.

The pitch, compare more, rush less

PolicyStreet is running the campaign across the first quarter into April, framing it as a longer runway for buyers to compare policies across insurers and make a decision without feeling forced into a last-minute renewal.

Beyond the promo mechanics, the company is also pushing its wider “all in one place” message, compare policies, renew road tax, and choose flexible payment options through a single digital flow.
