KUALA LUMPUR: It was only a matter of time before that Jaguar Land Rover confirmed its plans to increase its digital initiatives investment over the course of the next few years. It is being done to make the customer experience amazing and seamless.
Sime Darby Motors Malaysia, Managing Director, Retail & Distribution, Jeffrey Gan, said, “As part of JLRM’s digital transformation, the introduction of these robots serves to elevate the customer experience. The use of robots also allows for customer interaction with reduced risk of transmission.”
We now see the first step taken by the automaker in the digital enhancement phase. It comes in the form of the employment of two ‘robots’ that will be serving the customers visiting the dealership.
The latest member of the Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia family, the two Robot Assistants, can be seen on duty at the Sime Darby Motor City showroom in Ara Damansara. The said JLR dealership is also the largest JLR 4S facility in the South-East Asia region.
