Say hello to the all-new 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz has introduced the all-new second-generation GLC Coupe that features the same design formula as its SUV counterpart but with a touch of sportiness. It also benefits from a tech-heavy interior and a long electric range in plug-in hybrid form, making it all the more desirable in the category.

Let’s get to know in detail what the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe brings to the table - 

• The coupe looks sleeker with a familiar grille setup, restyled headlights, and the prominent sloping roofline
• The body-coloured wheel arches are neatly paired with new 19- or 20-inch wheels
• Adding to the styling of the luxury coupe is the sleeker rear end featuring refreshed LED tail lights 

• Mercedes-Benz offers the revamped GLC with different 2.0-litre petrol and diesel mills, all of which have been electrified with a 48-volt hybrid system, generating a maximum power of 204 PS - 269 PS and a peak torque of 320 Nm - 550 Nm
• The plug-in hybrid drivetrain is also offered with a 31.2 kWh battery pack, offering a WLTP-claimed all-electric range of 131 km

• As for charging, the coupe comes with a standard 11-kW charger. It also supports the optional 60kW charger that can juice up the battery pack in almost 30 minutes.
• All powertrains are mated to an all-wheel-drive system
• Among the key interior highlights of the updated coupe are an 11.9-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a three-spoke Mercedes steering wheel, ambient lighting, a heads-up display, a panoramic sunroof, and Burmester sound system with 15 speakers

• Parts of the safety kit are multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, and several autonomous driving features such as active steering assist, emergency braking, and parking assist

Mercedes-Benz is yet to reveal the pricing for the all-new 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
