Smart EVs get five new dealerships in Malaysia, more centres coming up in 2024

KUALA LUMPUR: Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), the official importer and distributor of Smart vehicles in Malaysia has appointed five new dealerships in the Peninsular Malaysia region including Melaka, Bangsar, Ipoh, Kedah, and Penang.

The appointed dealerships of the new Smart dealerships in the country are selected on the basis of their vast experience in handling luxury auto brands. Together they aim to make the Smart EV the best brand in the segment while offering excellent services. Part of the list is -

• Smart Mobility Sdn Bhd (Smart Mobility) - Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
• GB Auto Sdn Bhd (GB Auto) - Ipoh, Perak
• Eleganz Lifestyle Sdn Bhd (Eleganz Lifestyle) - Penang
• Lee Motors (Alor Star) Sdn Bhd (Lee Motors) - Alor Setar, Kedah
• Sigma Energy EV Sdn Bhd (Sigma Energy EV) - Melaka

All of the new Smart dealerships will incorporate a ‘smart Space’, a one-stop EV adoption centre that will be equipped with DC charging facilities and full sales and service support (quick charging, quick repair services, and a delivery center) for the customers.

With five new dealers, the Smart network now comprises several dealerships in total across Peninsular Malaysia. All of these dealers are now waiting to receive the brand’s first model, the smart#1 electric SUV.

Smart future plans for Malaysia

In the future, the brand plans to expand its venture in other regions of the country like the East Coast Peninsula and East Malaysia region. In addition, the automaker plans to introduce the Smart app soon which will allow customers to access information regarding the product, payment, and order.
