UMW Toyota expands T-TEP to 25 institutions – RM20 Million invested, 7,000 trained so far
KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota Motor has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand its Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP). It marks a pivotal milestone in its commitment to nurturing a skilled, inclusive, and future-ready workforce for Malaysia.

- First launched in 1991, the Toyota Technical Education Program has evolved as a comprehensive and enduring industry-education partnership model.
- It has grown from just 5 to 25 private institutions across the country. All these institutions have adopted Toyota’s integrated training syllabus and have access to cutting-edge tools such as hybrid and electric engine simulators.
- UMW Toyota has invested approximately RM 20 million in this extensive training program and has trained around 7,000 skilled graduates so far.
