UMW Toyota sold nearly 20,000 vehicles in Q1 2025

KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota continues to provide reliable and innovative mobility solutions that meet the needs of Malaysian drivers. And testament to that is the brand’s consistent sales growth in 2025. The automaker delivered a total of 19,944 vehicles in the first quarter of the year, with 7,929 sold last month.

The numbers reflect continued demand for Toyota vehicles in Malaysia, making it a leading non-national automotive brand.

Corolla Cross Hybrid leads sustainability push

UMW Toyota sees hybrid technology as a key enabler in providing cleaner, smarter mobility solutions to today’s drivers. The hybrid cars complement the brand’s strong lineup and offer a practical and accessible path toward more sustainable mobility, combining fuel efficiency with everyday performance. 

With that in mind, it introduced the Corolla Cross Hybrid in early 2022 as a part of its multi-pathway strategy to reduce carbon emissions. Since its launch, the automaker has sold over 23,031 units of the electrified SUV in the local market, representing strong public confidence in hybrid electric vehicles.
