2020 Genesis GV70 SUV official pictures revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: Hyundai's premium auto hand is adding new and better models in its lineup, with the latest addition coming in the form of an SUV - the GV70. In the typical Genesis style, we have no info about the car's specification with only a few images in hand to analyse.

Earlier the Genesis G80 sedan made a similar unofficial debut. However, today all the attention is on the GV70 which is the second SUV in the company's range of cars, thus acting as the younger sibling to the GV80.

Now that we see the GV70 without any covers or camouflage, one can confidently say, it's an eye-catcher. It shares a close resemblance to the facelifted G70 sedan. At the front, the ubiquitous shield grille and split headlight are the focal points. The rear showcases a wrap-around tail light with a similar split design and upright exhaust, giving continuity to the theme. The dramatic C-pillar shape adds to the SUVs X-factor, making it look rugged compared to the GV80.

Open the gates and you will be greeted by a welcoming cabin that is wrapped in the most premium upholstery. On the connectivity front, the GV70 sports a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and GV80 borrowed - 14.5-inch touchscreen head-up unit. Further included in its feature list is ambient lighting, auto climate control, and much more.

As mentioned earlier, we have only in hand GV70's pictures, however, there's no harm in guessing what's under its hood. We feel that the Genesis latest SUV might borrow powerplants specs from the GV80 - so a standard 2.5-litre 4-Cyl mill and an optional 3.5-litre 6-Cyl unit.
